Newburgh Community Trust
Making a Difference in North Fife
Welcome to the Newburgh Community Trust Website
In recent years the people of Newburgh have shown what can be achieved through working together with a number of public agencies and funding bodies. Several local groups have had great success in promoting various projects and have taken pride in the finished work. To help continue this trend Newburgh Community Trust has been set up to assist in taking further projects forward. This website sets out useful information about Newburgh and about the Trust, which can be accessed via the links on the left and will be updated on a regular basis.
The Trust's main current projects are the ongoing improvement work at the waterfront, a grant-funded research survey investigating the feasibility of a small wind turbine development in the Newburgh area, and the Sustainable Newburgh project, in the course of which it emerged in particular that there is overwhelming local support for the reopening of Newburgh Rail Station. We are also investigating the possible purchase of the old Lochmill reservoir, but will not be making a commitment to this until we have done some detailed research on what it would involve.
Note Regarding Updates
There have been technical problems with the website for some time now. Digital Fife were informed of this at the beginning of December, but no help has been forthcoming. There will be no further updates to the site until this issue is addressed.
